You can easily create a harmonized vocal with VOCALOID. This kind of vocal is popular in genres like dance music and house music.

We will be using the following softwares:
VOCALOID4 Editor
for Cubase
This is a software to edit VOCALOID singing voice. You must use with VOCALOID3 or VOCALOID4 Voice Banks.

CYBER DIVA
A basically VOCALOID4 English Female Voice Bank. A database of actual female natural American English singing voice.

For this video, we are using the above listed VOCALOID4 products. However, you can create the same kind of vocals with any other English VOCALOID4 Voice Bank, by following the same instructions.
* You can also use VOCALOID4 Editor.
* We are using VOCALOID4 Library CYBER DIVA in this article, but even with other VOCALOID4 Voice Bank products you can make a harmonized vocal in the same way.
Let's create a harmonized vocal!
Download and import the Basic VSQX file.
Before attempting the steps listed in this article, please download the sample VSQX file for this, and import Harmony_basic.vsqx into your VOCALOID4 Editor or VOCALOID4 Editor for Cubase.

* In the VSQX file we are distributing on this page, we set the singer as CYBER DIVA. If CYBER DIVA is not installed on your computer, when you read this VSQX file, it will be converted to the installed singer on your computer. If CYBER DIVA is not installed on your computer, switch to singer to the other VOCALOID English voice bank you have. If you are using the VOCALOID 4 Editor, a dialog about singer change will be displayed when reading the VSQX file. Click OK and switch to the other English VOCALOID singer with TRACK EDITOR or MUSICAL EDITOR.
* The VSQX file distributed on this page was produced for VOCALOID 4 Editor, VOCALOID 4 Editor for Cubase for PC. Please use it on the computer on which one of the products is installed. The older version of the VOCALOID editor product and Mobile VOCALOID Editor do not correspond to the parameters used in this VSQX file, so the effect can not be reproduced.
Instructions
Step 1: Make the singer sound robotic.
Turn on Pitch Snap Mode.
Step 2: Insert the rests.
Set the control parameter DYN(Dynamics) with line tool.
Step 3: Tune the voice tone makes bright and clear.
Set these control parameters to the followoing values.
- BRI(Brightness): 70
- CLE(Clearness): 10
- GEN(Gender Factor): 40
Step 4: Create the harmony.
- 1. Duplicate the track.
- 2. Adjust the pitch of the notes.

Step 5: Balance the volume to your liking.
Adjust the volume for each track. (Use Cubase)
