Q1. Where can I buy VOCALOID?
A1. VOCALOID itself is not released as Yamaha product. Yamaha has agreed to license the technology, enabling the development of vocal libraries and software sales by soundware developers all over the world, and the VOCALOID software engine powers their vocal library products. Leon and Lola were announced by Zero-G Limited (United Kingdom) at NAMM Show from 15-18 January 2004 in Los Angeles. Miriam had also been released since July 6, 2004. Japanese library Meiko had been released by Crypton Future Media Inc. (Japan) since October 5, 2004. Visit Crypton Future Media's website (Japanese) for more details.
Q2. When will VOCALOID be on sale?

Q3. What is the necessary PC spec?
A3.
Minimum System requirements of VOCALOID are as follows:
- OS: Windows 2000/XP
- CPU: Pentium III 1.0GHz or faster (To use ReWire(TM) or VOCALOID VSTi, Pentium 4, 1.8GHz or faster)
- RAM: 512MB or more
- 2GB Hard disk space or more.
- CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
- XGA Display (1024x768).
- Sound Card

Recommended requirements are as follows:
- OS: Windows XP
- CPU: Pentium 4, 1.8 GHz or faster
- RAM: 1GB or more

Q4. Is a demo version available for download?
A4. Demo version (tryout version) of VOCALOID Miriam is available. You can now download the free VOCALOID Demo Software on Zero-G's website.
There are some limitations of functionalities (Limited Lyrics (only "I", "love", "you", "my", "baby"), Limited number of tracks, Limited number of measures, "Play With Synthesis" mode is not available, etc.), but this Demo version will allow you to readily make use of it and to see what it is like. By purchasing the Vocaloid Regular Version, you can GAIN FULL FUNCTIONALITY. Visit Zero-G's website for more details.
Q5. Does VOCALOID require any particular hardware?
A5. VOCALOID does not need any particular hardware (such as a sound generator) other than a PC. However, it requires a network device to be installed in your computer for the software activation.
