"Play with Synthesis" mode works more reliably with VOCALOID v1.0.5 updater.
We recommend that you set the "Play with Synthesis" because of these following advantages:
The song can be played within a few seconds after the play button is clicked.
The rendering mode made you wait for the song to play even after only a small change was made, but now you do not have to wait, while synthesis takes place in the background simultaneously.
You can create vocal tracks much faster with no stress!
Here is the procedure to set the "Play with Synthesis" mode:
1. Select [Setting]->[Play] from the "Setting" menu.
2. Check "Play with Synthesis"
If playback is intermittent on some older or slower computers, try setting the Play mode to "Play With Synthesis" off via the Settings menu or try the followings:
Increase "Pre-Send Time" in a dialogue displayed by selecting [Setting]->[VOCALOID MIDI]->[Option] from the menu.
Increase "Waiting Time" in a dialogue displayed by selecting [Setting]->[Play] from the menu.
Increase "Buffer Size" in a dialogue displayed by selecting [Audio]->[Device] from the menu.
Increase the buffer size or latency of the sound device (if possible).
Set the sampling rate to 44.1kHz.
Reduce the number of tracks.
