Q. No sound is played at all.

You need to check all the connections, from the selected audio device to the connected audio instrument.

If multiple audio devices have been installed on your computer, the software might have selected the wrong device as an audio output device.

Select the "Settings" menu and then open "Preferences". On the "Audio Settings" tab, check the "Audio Device".
