I have a VOCALOID1 product, can I use it on VOCALOID3 Editor?
Unfortunately, VOCALOID3 Editor does not support VOCALOID1 products (older products released before the year of 2006).
What is the difference between Tiny VOCALOID3 Editor and VOCALOID3 Editor?
Tiny VOCALOID3 Editor, which is often included in a Voice Bank, has limitations (for example, there can only be seventeen measurements).
I use a Mac. Can I run VOCALOID3 Editor in Bootcamp or a virtual environment?
Normal operation of VOCALOID3 Editor is not guaranteed in Bootcamp or a virtual environment. VOCALOID3™ Editor is for Windows. It might not run normally in Bootcamp, a virtual environment, or compatibility layer software.
I currently own VOCALOID3 Editor, and I don't need Tiny VOCALOID3 Editor installed with a Voice Bank. Can I uninstall it?
By the default, you can't technically uninstall it, and the software will not operate normally when it is manually deleted from the installed folder, so please do not try to do so.
How many computer can I install for each VOCALOID3 Editor and Voice Bank?
You can install them in only one computer per each product. If you are using them on several computers, please purchase the same number of products you wish to install to.
Is there any limitation on the function until the activation is completed?
You can use the product at full function for 14 days from the date of the installation without an activation. Please complete the activation of the product before the expiration date to avoid any trouble.
Is the activation of VOCALOID3 Editor and Voice Bank separated?
Yes, it is.
When I launch VOCALOID3 Editor or Tiny VOCALOID3 Editor, I receive a dialog of "The following VOCALOID3 components expired!" and can't open it.
VOCALOID3 Editor and Voice Bank has a grace time of 14 days from its installation for activation. After 14 days the tool will be locked until activation process is completed.
When I try to reinstall VOCALOID3 Editor and/or Voice Bank, I receive a dialog of "You have activated more than the limited times. Please ask the agency/distributor which you purchased VOCALOID3 from." and can't finish activation.
Please deactivate the product first, and then try to activate again. If you fail to deactivate, please contact Yamaha’s VOCALOID Products Customer Center.
What is the deactivation?
Deactivation is the process to return serial number used by your machine on installation of VOCALOID products back to authentication server. When you need to change or to move application software like VOCALOID Editor and/or Voice Bank to another machine, you will only be able to do so after the serial number is deactivated and disconnected from your current work station. Without this process you may not activate products on your new machine, so it is strongly recommended to deactivate every application you wish to move, before its uninstallation.
